Associate Professor of Corporate Finance at the Department of Business and Management, LUISS Universita Guido Carli

Raffaele Oriani is an Associate Professor of Corporate Finance and Venture Capital at the Department of Economics and Business of LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome. He is currently the Director of the Master in Corporate Finance at Luiss Business School.

He obtained a Ph.D. in Management from the University Bologna. He has been visiting scholar at the Department of Economics of the University of California at Berkeley and at the Research Department of the Bank of Italy.

He has several publications on the topics of economics, finance and management of innovation in international academic journals, including Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Industrial and Corporate Change, Advances in Strategic Management, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Research Policy and Scientometrics. He has been co-director of the research project “The Economic Valuation of patents” funded by the European Investment Bank. His current research activities focus on the financial valuation of patents, stock market valuation of R&D investments, real options and corporate governance.
