I received my doctorate in psychology in 2007 and have been at York University (Canada) ever since, where I am now a full professor. The research in our lab centers on how imagined experiences during engagement with stories, such as watching Netflix or reading a novel, might affect how we think and behave in the real world. We have published over 60 peer-reviewed articles that have been cited over 10 000 times (according to Google Scholar anyhow).
