Rebecca is a Senior Lecturer with the TC Beirne School of Law at the University of Queensland where she teaches and researches in public law, focussing on the courts, national security and press freedom. Prior to joining UQ, Rebecca held positions with the ARC Laureate Fellowship Project 'Anti-Terror Laws and the Democratic Challenge' and the Gilbert + Tobin Centre of Public Law at UNSW, the Federal Attorney-General's Department, and as a litigation Solicitor with DLA Piper Sydney.
