Dr. Rebecca Collins-Nelsen is a teaching and research lead at McMaster Children and Youth University (MCYU) housed in the Department of Pediatrics. The goal of MCYU is to connect research that is happening within the university to the broader community (mcyu.ca) to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and life-long learning among young people.
She also holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship at McMaster University in the School of Interdisciplinary Science. Her research focuses on social inequality, teaching and learning, and children’s rights. Her PhD in sociology explored social inequality in precarious work in the cultural industry of stand-up comedy.
