Senior Associate, Grattan Institute

Rebecca Joiner is a Senior Associate at Grattan Institute. She has experience contributing to the development and implementation of economic and legal policy reforms across a number of areas.

Rebecca worked for four years at the Commonwealth Treasury, where she contributed to the Federal Government’s budgets, economic response to the pandemic, and Treasury strategic policy projects. She also worked on reforms to superannuation policy, the regulation of charities and not-for-profits, and tax policy.

Rebecca previously worked on legal policy reforms at the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet and was an intern at Grattan Institute.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Laws with honours and a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) from Monash University. She also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Australian National University and is admitted to practice as an Australian lawyer.
