Rebecca Olive is an ARC DECRA Fellow in the School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences at UQ, where she researches nature-based, recreational lifestyle sports and physical activities. Rebecca's work has explored issues including sex/gender politics, localism and belonging, and other-than-human interactions. Her DECRA project focuses on how participation in ocean sports shapes participant's knowledges and ethics in relation to ocean and coastal ecologies. Her work uses ethnographic methods, including participation and interviews, and includes online spaces.
