Professor of Evolutionary Biology, L’Université d’Ottawa/University of Ottawa

I use little things (microbes) to study big questions (like how biodiversity evolves and impacts human health). I believe that scientists can be effective catalysts for change by engaging directly with decision-makers and the non-science public. I am a Professor at the University of Ottawa and am active at the science-society interface with a range of organizations in Canada and internationally.
