PhD Student, Social and Political Thought, York University, Canada

Rhiannon Cobb is a first-year PhD student in the Aesthetics, Consciousness, and Society stream of the Social and Political Thought program at York University, part of the International Consortium of Critical Theory Programs. Interested in the intersection of spatial theory, poetry, and art, Rhiannon's PhD research explores how individuals form spatial narratives with the places and spaces around them. Their Master's research critiqued heteronormative and settler-colonial ways of knowing and offered an examination of collaborations and contestations at the intersection of queer and Indigenous theory, with a focus on art, poetry, and 'commoning'.
