I explore topics related to non-market strategy, leadership and individual differences, and entrepreneurship. I am fascinated by the intersection of business and economics as well as the resulting implications for government policy. Among other outlets, my work has been published in Journal of Small Business Management, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Academy of Management Journal. Prior to joining academia, I worked in education as a school teacher in an urban district and also spent time abroad. I enjoy traveling, being on the water, playing guitar, and spending time with my dogs.
