Professor of Animal Evolution, Liverpool John Moores University

Richard Brown has served as professor of animal evolution at Liverpool John Moores University since 2009. Prior to that, he completed his PhD at the University of Aberdeen. Brown's research straddles conservation biology and evolutionary ecology, and he recently published a study which examined hybridisation as a conservation tool in the case of the Asiatic wild ass. Brown uses genomic analysis to understand the ecomorphology of species and their responses to environmental change.
