Having qualified and worked as a Chartered Physiotherapist since 1997 Richard moved into an Academic role in 2004. Working currently as a Lecturer at Cardiff University he spends his time teaching on Masters level programmes in Pain Management and other medical and health related topics. His interests focus on pain education both to healthcare practitioners and also to members of the public. He has co-authored texts that support Professional development of assessment skills within Physiotherapy and regularly is invited to talk to different groups external to academia on the topic of pain.
