Richard Halfpenny

Lecturer in the School of Life Sciences and Education, Staffordshire University

I am a lecturer in biological and biomedical sciences. I am also engaged in pedagogical research projects related to the engagement with and success in higher education, with a particular focus on novel methods of learning delivery. Outside of this, my current research interests are focused on the smell-mediated feeding behaviour of mosquitoes, and on the identification of 'cryptic' mosquito species - those that appear similar to existing species, but are genetically distinct.
