Richard Halfpenny

Lecturer in Biological Sciences, Staffordshire University

I am a lecturer in biological sciences and early career researcher. I was awarded my PhD in 2018, having studied the feeding behaviour of mosquitoes and specialist identification methods. My current research interests are focused on the smell-mediated feeding behaviour of mosquitoes, and on the identification of 'cryptic' mosquito species - those that appear similar to existing species, but are genetically distinct.
