Richard Hayhoe is a Senior Research Associate in Public Health Nutrition at the University of East Anglia. He has a wide range of experience and his scientific career has encompassed work from the molecular level to the population level.
From 2012 to 2019 he was employed by the University of East Anglia in a post funded by Norfolk County Council Public Health. The priority of his work during this time was to provide evaluation and research expertise to the local authority to help inform public health commissioning decisions. Alongside this he also developed specific expertise and interests in nutritional epidemiology and musculoskeletal health. He has published a number of papers on this subject, and is continuing to focus on research in this area with funding from the Norwich Medical School.
He is particularly interested in furthering our understanding of the deterioration of musculoskeletal health with age, and how nutrition may offer a means to reduce this decline.
