Richard Norman

Richard is an Associate Professor in the School of Population Health at Curtin University. He holds a PhD from the University of Technology Sydney investigating the valuation of health gains for use in economic evaluation in health. Prior to that, he completed a Bachelor Degree in Philosophy and Economics in 2003, and a Master of Health Economics in 2004, both from the University of York. His Masters thesis, written at the University of Bergen, investigated the measurement of productivity in Norwegian Hospitals. His areas of interest include applied microeconometrics, quality of life and economic evaluation. Specific topics include population modelling and discrete choice experiments, particularly in utility measurement and equity.
