Rigissa Megalokonomou

PhD candidate in Economics, University of Warwick

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Warwick.

My research interests lie in Empirical Microeconomics with a particular focus on the areas of Economics of Education and Labour Economics.

My current main research is examining the effect of ordinal rank on school and labour market outcomes. The other projects of mine look at the effect of teachers' gender stereotypes on students' performance and the choice of college major, the effect of social interactions in school and the neighbourhood on students' decision to enrol in college, the effect of the financial crisis on educational decisions, and the impact of college bursaries on employability and labour market earnings.
