Researcher in Climate and Water, University of Leeds

Rizwan Nawaz (CEnv, FHEA) is an inter-disciplinary researcher and a data scientist that applies both quantitative and qualitative techniques to better understand environmental systems. The focus of his research is climate change impacts and he was amongst the first researchers to apply an uncertainty framework to investigate the impact of climate change. Over recent years, he has turned his attention to understanding the drivers of global warming.

He has supervised five PhD students (Universities of Leeds and Sheffield) and over 40 MSc students on topics related to climate change. He has published ~20 climate change/environmental management related articles in peer-reviewed journals including the International Journal of Climatology, Environmental Research Letters and Meteorological Applications.
