Professor and Program Director, Systems Engineering and Design, University of Michigan

As a Fellow of the American Statistical Association, INFORMS and the Society of Decision Professionals, Robert Bordley’s research focuses on decision making under uncertainty as applied in strategic decision making, product design, project management and systems engineering. He has balanced work in both academia and practice by publishing more than eighty papers while receiving many top awards at General Motors. Upon retiring from General Motors, he worked for Booz-Allen-Hamilton for six years before becoming a Professor of Practice at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
