Robert Burriss is an Anniversary Research Fellow at Northumbria University, Newcastle. He studies human mate choice and relationships from an evolutionary perspective. He is especially interested in facial attraction.

Since graduating from the University of Liverpool with an MSc in Evolutionary Psychology and a PhD in Biological Sciences, Rob has held research and teaching posts at the University of Chester, the University of Stirling, and the Pennsylvania State University.
