Robert Gorwa is a PhD candidate in the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Oxford. Robert works on platform regulation, content moderation, and other transnational digital policy challenges, with recent work on 'platform governance' published in Information, Communication & Society, Internet Policy Review, and other journals.

He is affiliated with the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism and the Centre for Technology and Global Affairs and Oxford, the Project on Democracy and the Internet at Stanford University, and the Max Bell School of Public Policy at McGill University. He contributes to the Los Angeles Review of Books and has written for Wired Magazine UK, the Washington Post, Foreign Affairs, and a host of other popular outlets.
