Hydrologist, Flood Forecaster, Australian Bureau of Meteorology

Robert Lawry is a Hydrologist and a front line Flood Forecaster at the Bureau of Meteorology with many years' experience working in state weather and flood forecasting centres. He has over a decade of experience working as a Weather Observer, WMO qualified BIP-MT, (Meteorological Technician). He has a professional interest in clouds and atmospheric dynamics, is the writer of a cloud observing handbook and other technical guidance material. He has a history of public engagement, strives to be a STEM ambassador and is active in BOM media and social media.
