Robert Streiffer

Professor of Philosophy and Bioethics, University of Wisconsin-Madison

I am a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with appointments in the Department of Medical History and Bioethics and the Department of Philosophy. I received my Ph. D. in philosophy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1999. My research focuses on ethical and policy issues arising from modern biotechnology, both agricultural and biomedical, but I also work in related areas such as animal ethics, environmental ethics, medical ethics, and political philosophy.
