Robin Ireland

My research interests include: commercial determinants of health, marketing by unhealthy commodity industries in sport and in general, and the commercialisation of sport.

I gained my PhD with a thesis entitled: 'Commercial Determinants of Health in Sport. The Example of the English Premier League' in 2021. I have since had a book published by Routledge on 'Sport, Sponsorship, and Public Health' in 2023.

I have a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Liverpool in 2007.

I am a Member of the UK Faculty of Public Health.
