Associate Professor, National Security College, Australian National University

Currently an associate professor at ANU's National Security College and a research fellow at the Lowy Institute for International Policy. A former army officer with a masters in Middle Eastern Studies from ANU and a PhD in Arab & Islamic Studies from the University of Sydney, he has served operationally in the Middle East and in the embassies in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
