I'm currently a PhD Candidate in Earth and Environmental Sciences at School of Earth, Environment and Society at McMaster University. I also completed a graduate diploma from the collaborative program Water Without Borders between the United Nations University - Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH) and McMaster University.
My PhD research is focused on glacial environments in Perú and Iceland using a variety of approaches and methodologies such as sedimentology and landsystem analysis to understand the role in which these environments play in glacial hazards.
I also have a passion for undergraduate teaching with an emphasis on experiential and reflective-based teaching. I've taught undergraduate courses on water issues, environmental issues and geography of Latin America where I also implement anti-racist pedagogies.
