Dr. Roger Bales, Distinguished Professor of Engineering at UC Merced and Adjunct Professor at UC Berkeley, focuses his teaching and research on building the knowledge base to adapt California’s water supplies, forests, and economy to climate warming. His scholarship includes over 200 peer-reviewed articles, and many more reports in publicly accessible media. He works with research colleagues, leaders in state agencies, elected officials, land managers, water leaders, non-governmental organizations, and other key decision makers on developing climate solutions for California.
