Research Professor of Imaging Science, Rochester Institute of Technology

I am an experimental physicist, Cornell AB in physics, Princeton PhD. An important part of my background is my Native roots - Mohawk, turtle clan - and that has kept me involved in Native rights and projects since early college. I remain active and am a Native faculty advisor for research in RIT’s Future Stewards Program. I am a Sequoia Fellow in the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES).

My active areas of research include cyber security, space weather, artificial intelligence, and Native science. I am the Principal Investigator (PI) on a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). I am also PI on a CSTEP grant from New York State. I have received support in the past from various government organizations, included DISA, Army, Navy, and DHS.
