Senior Lecturer in Law, University of East London

Romit is a Senior Lecturer in Law at UEL. His research interests broadly focus on forced migration, human rights and international refugee law. Past projects have examined the role that human rights concepts have played in determining refugee status. He is currently working a project which seeks to decolonise the curriculum in refugee law and reintroduce the global South into the mainstream narratives. He is the author of Human Rights and the Revision of Refugee Law (Routledge, 2020).
