Ronnie R. Gipson Jr.

Assistant Professor of Law, University of Memphis

After graduating from law school, I represented clients in complex/class action litigation for a number of years. Capitalizing on the litigation experience, I started my own firm where I represented an array of clients in aviation law matters. I transitioned into legal academia in 2015, when I accepted a two year appointment at the Soongsil University Global Law Institute. After returning to the United States in 2017, I continued my career in academia teaching doctrinal courses to include both Aviation law and International law at American Bar Association accredited law schools. I remain actively engaged in the aviation industry by providing policy advice to aviation advocacy groups. I am currently a professor at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.
