Lecturer, Global Development Institute, University of Manchester

I am a Lecturer in Globalisation and Political Economy, ESRC Future Research Leader and Hallsworth Research Fellow at the Global Development Institute, University of Manchester. An economic geographer by training (PhD Clark University), I have been based at Manchester since September 2013.

My research explores the changing geographies of globalisation and global development, with a specific focus on South-South trade and the pharmaceutical industry. Originally from Ireland, I have lived in the USA (and now the UK) and conducted research for various periods of time in India, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana and South Africa.
