Rosa McCarty is a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics, and a Teaching Fellow in Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine within the Centre for Stem Cell Systems, both at The University of Melbourne.

Her area of research expertise is adult stem cell biology, as a post-doctoral research scientist at the Australian Stem Cell Centre and PhD at the University of Adelaide, examining the role of adult stromal cells in lung homeostasis, and bone marrow stromal cells and cartilage regeneration.

Rosa is a Teaching Specialist and passionate educator, with an interest in developing research and transferable skills in her students through ‘purpose and product’.
