Professor, Regional and Urban Studies and Planning, Politecnico di Torino

Ph.D in History and Critics of Architectural and Environmental Heritage, full professor at the univesity Politecnico di Torino (Polito), Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST), lives in Milan (Italy).
She teaches Digital Urban History in Master Courses, is a member of the Doctoral Committee in Architectural and Landscape Heritage Program, and the co-director of International Summer School Program “Cultural Heritage in Context. Digital Technologies for the Humanities” jointly managed by POLITO and UCLA-Cotsen Institute of Archaeology(http://digitalhumanitiesforculturalheritage.polito.it).
She has been Professeur Invitée at the École des Hautes Études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris and Visiting Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She serves as President of the Italian Association of Urban History AISU (www.aisuinternational.org), a member of the network of the EU city history museums (CityHist), a member of the Urban Image group of the European Architectural History Network.
She is an expert of urban and territorial history. Her research also focuses on critical cultural heritage studies, connections between research and museums, the use of digital technologies in culture.
She is Polito project manager for the Horizon 2020 Research Project RURITAGE “Rural regeneration through systemic heritage-led strategies” SC5-21-2016-2017 (WP leader); and the H2020 Research Project SHELTER “Sustainable Historic Environments hoListic Reconstruction through Technological Enhancement and community based Resilience LC-CLA-2018-2.
