Ros is a qualified Speech & Language Therapist who joined City University London in 1985 having previously worked in the NHS. She is a Reader in Communication and Deafness. Her teaching and research interests are language development and assessment in British Sign Language (BSL), reading and dyslexia in deaf children and communication interventions with deaf children and adults.
