In 2008 Rosemary established the National Responsible Business Practice Project funded by the Australian Federal Government (through Treasury) based at St James Ethics Centre where she built a world first ‘HUB’ of international initiatives and local resources including the Australian focal points for the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate citizenship initiative and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the most widely used sustainability reporting framework. She was an expert member on the Standards Australia Committee for the Social Responsibility ISO 26000 draft standard. Rosemary spent a further 12 months as elected Head and Company Secretary to the Global Compact Network Australia and was then appointed to the newly created position of Director, Corporate Engagement for Transparency International Australia (TIA). Rosemary has published research articles and resources and spoken widely on corporate social responsibility and business ethics, both locally and internationally. She is a registered psychologist and has a Masters degree in Professional Ethics (UNSW). She is currently undertaking a PhD and teaching in corporate governance and corporate responsibility/sustainability in the School of Management, UTS Business School.
