Dr Rosemary Sainty

From 2008 Rosemary established the National Responsible Business Practice Project funded by the Australian Federal Government (through Treasury) based at St James Ethics Centre where she built a ‘HUB’ of international initiatives and local resources including the Australian focal points for the United Nations Global Compact and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). She was an expert member on the Standards Australia Committee for the Social Responsibility ISO 26000 draft standard and Advisory Committee Member to the Responsible Investment Association Australasia. Rosemary spent a further 12 months in to 2011 as elected Head and Company Secretary to the Global Compact Network Australia and Director, Corporate Engagement for Transparency International Australia (TIA). She has published research articles and resources and spoken widely on corporate social responsibility and business ethics, both locally and internationally. She is a registered psychologist and has a Masters degree in Professional Ethics (UNSW). She has completed a PhD focusing on the intersection of corporate governance and corporate responsibility at board level, and currently teaches across governance, corporate responsibility/sustainability and organisational psychology in the Management Discipline Group, at UTS Business School.
