Senior research fellow, History and Philosophy of Science, University of Cambridge

I am a philosopher working on the ethics and epistemology of science, medicine and technology, based at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence and the Department of History and Philosophy of Science, University of Cambridge. Before coming to Cambridge, I did a PhD at Durham University. My current research focuses on ethical and epistemic issues that arise when AI systems are used to automate decision making, including issues of bias, transparency, value-ladenness and explainability.
