Senior Lecturer, School of Law, Keele University

Ruth is a Senior Lecturer in Law at Keele where she directs the Centre for Law, Ethics and Society. She will be moving to Queen Mary, University of London in September 2013. Ruth's research addresses the ethical and socio-legal issues arising from the regulation of health, with a particular focus on reproduction. She has published in a wide range of journals and collections including the Medical Law Review, Social and Legal Studies, and the Journal of Law and Society. Her work has been funded by the AHRC, the ESRC, the Leverhulme Trust and the British Academy. Ruth's current major project is Peripheral Lives, a research monograph which considers the impact of travelling strategies on the governance of women's abortion needs. She is co-investigator of the ReValuing Care Network (see http://revaluingcare.net) and co-ordinating editor of Feminist Legal Studies (see http://link.springer.com/journal/10691).
