Dr. Ryan Boyd is a behavioural analyst and computational social psychologist at Lancaster University. His research primarily focuses on the hidden links between a person's language and their underlying psychology: their motives, thinking styles, and behaviours. He has published extensively on the topic of language--psychology links, including research on the effects of childhood sexual abuse, the psychological underpinnings of political ideology, and author profiling/identification. He is also the author of dozens of open-source, free text analysis programs that are used by researchers from various disciplines around the world.
