Ryan Kellus Turner

Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice, St. Edward's University

The recipient of two university teaching excellence awards, Ryan Kellus Turner has been an adjunct faculty member at St. Edward's University School of Behavioral & Social Sciences since 1999. He has written more than 70 published articles pertaining to criminal law, criminal procedure, municipal law, and juvenile justice and is the co-author of the books, Lone Star Justice: A Comprehensive Overview of the Texas Criminal Justice System and The Municipal Judges Book.

For nearly twenty years, he has used the Kennedy assassination to teach students criminal evidence and proof.

Turner received his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University School of Law. He is a member of the National Association of State Judicial Educators and the Robert W. Calvert American Inn of Court.

He is General Counsel and Director of Education at the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center and a substitute judge for the City of Austin.
