Adjunct Assistant Professor (Sociology), and Associated Faculty member (Surveillance Studies Centre), Queen's University, Ontario

I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Sociology at Queen's University and an Associated Faculty member with the Surveillance Studies Centre at the same institution. I am primarily interested in how digital technologies, especially through automation, result in particular sets of circumstances for race and ethnicity. This focus has allowed me to examine technologies are varied as credit scoring in South Africa and clinical decision support systems in Canadian healthcare. In May 2020, I began a concurrent role as a Privacy and Ethics Officer evaluating health data for the Ontario government's Pandemic Threat Response (PANTHR).
