Dr. Malik holds diverse professional experience that includes research, teaching, and policy advocacy. Prior to her appointment at York University, she has worked as Research Director, Mahbub ul Haq Human Development Centre in Pakistan. As an independent consultant in international development, she has won several research awards from various international organizations including the World Bank, International Labor Organization, and the Department for International Development, U.K.
