Saeid Baroutian is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical & Materials Engineering at the University of Auckland. Saeid leads the Waste & Resource Recovery Research Group (WaRe3) at the University of Auckland. His research interests lie in the area of Process Engineering, and his expertise centres on the development and design of novel intensified processes for resource recovery and waste minimisation with the use of separation and reaction engineering concepts. He has published more than 100 articles in internationally notable and very influential journals and his research has been adopted by a number of companies. Saeid is the Director of the Sustainable Resource Recovery Postgraduate Programme at the University of Auckland.
