Sam Egger

Sam Egger is a biostatistician with the Daffodil Centre, a collaboration between the NSW Cancer Council and the University of Sydney, specialising in the analysis of cancer-related epidemiological data. Sam has published more than 70 peer-reviewed papers including publications in the Lancet, British Medical Journal, Journal of Clinical Oncology, European Urology, Journal of the National Cancer Institute and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews. His research interests include systematic reviews and statistical methods for systematic reviews; longitudinal patterns of quality-of-life outcomes for prostate cancer patients; learning curve models for urological surgeons converting from open to robot-assisted radical prostatectomy; upper aero-digestive cancers related to human papillomavirus; and smoking-attributable diseases and mortality. Sam is an active member of the Cochrane Collaboration where he is currently an editorial board member for the Cochrane Breast Cancer Group.
