Samuel E. Trosow

Associate Professor, Faculty of Law and Faculty of Information & Media Studies, Western University

I am an Associate Professor at the University of Western Ontario holding a joint appointment in the Faculty of Law and in the Faculty of Information & Media Studies (FIMS) Before joining the Western faculty in 2001, I was a law librarian at the University of California at Berkeley and was previously engaged in private law practice in California. My doctoral work at UCLA in Library & Information Science focused on information policy issues. My research interests continue to focus on information / communication policy issues including copyright, privacy, telecommunications/broadcasting regulation and freedom of expression. I am currently serving as a member of the UWO Board of Governors (elected by the faculty constituency) but I do not speak on behalf of the University and the views stated in my articles are my own.
