Sandy Ruxton is an Honorary Research Fellow with the European Children's Rights Unit, Law School, University of Liverpool. His research interests include: masculinity and violence; fatherhood and care; and child and family policy.

He has undertaken projects for a wide range of organisations, such as the Luxembourg EU Presidency, European Commission, Council of Europe, Fundamental Rights Agency, Oxfam, and Save the Children.

He was a collaborator on the Open University ESRC project 'Beyond Male Role Models', and has recently led training in Egypt and Turkey on engaging men in tackling violence against women.
