Sara Moseley

A senior civil servant and communications professional on secondment to Cardiff University based in the School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies I am engaged in developing innovative new ventures; research; and professional consultancy.
These include the establishment on the Centre for Community Journalism www.communityjournalism.com, a fusion of research, capacity building and networking. Int he past 18 months we have undertaken AHRC funded research for React and the Creative Citizens Project; been instrumental in establishing three hyper local news sites and supporting many more; and developed Welsh medium web interfaces to support publishing funded by the Welsh Government.
I am also a member of the UK Cabinet Office Peer Network and have undertaken communications reviews for the Cabinet Office and Cardiff University amongst others.
As part of my development work at the School of Journalism, Media nd cultural Studies i have established a Welsh medium teaching and research stream closely linked to the media industry.
A former long standing Director of Communications at Welsh Government, the NHS and in economic development I am co founder and Chair of Comms Cymru, the development network for public service communications professionals in Wales which has over 600 members.
