Sarah A. Williams

Assistant Professor, Anthropology and Gender Studies (Brown University); QueerCOVID Co-Investigator, University of Toronto

Sarah Williams is the Louise Lamphere Visiting Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Gender Studies at Brown University. She earned her PhD in Medical Anthropology from the Department of Anthropology at the University of Toronto in 2021 and was a fellow in the Collaborative Specialization in Global Health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. Sarah is the co-investigator and qualitative lead of the QueerCOVID-TO Project and a co-investigator of a project examining maternal health experiences across Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her work is primarily focused on maternal and reproductive health in Mexico and Canada. Her published work has appeared in the journals Anthropology & Medicine, Social Science & Medicine, and the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
