Sarah-Patricia Breen

Adjunct Professor, School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, University of Guelph

Sarah-Patricia Breen is the Regional Innovation Chair in Rural Economic Development at Selkirk College. She has over 10 years of experience in research, public policy, and project management. Her current research portfolio focuses on rural communities and regions and includes three research streams:
1) Building Human Capacity
2) Technology and Innovation
3) Infrastructure and Services

Sarah holds a PhD in Resource and Environmental Management from Simon Fraser University, a Masters in Geography from Memorial University, and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Lakehead University in her hometown of Thunder Bay, ON. In addition to her role as the Regional Innovation Chair, she is a past president of the Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation and an Adjunct Professor in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development at the University of Guelph.
