Saskia van der Kooi is a research officer who joined NCIRS in April 2023. She has a background in allied health, having worked in clinical practice as an osteopath since 2009. Saskia has previously worked as a research assistant for the University of Western Sydney Medical School. Saskia completed a Master of Public Health (Research) at Macquarie University in 2022. Her thesis, conducted in collaboration with NCIRS, looked at notifications of pertussis, invasive pneumococcal, and meningococcal disease following COVID-19.
