Sebastian Duchene

Australian Research Council Future Fellow, The University of Melbourne

I am a computational evolutionary biologist and my research consists of genomic analyses of emerging bacterial and viral outbreaks. I develop models and approaches to understand how viruses and bacteria evolve and spread.

I have worked the Peter Doherty Institute (University of Melbourne) since early 2019, with support from the Australian Research Council and the National Health and Medical Research Council. Prior to joining the Doherty Institute I worked at the University of Sydney as a postdoctoral research.
