I am a political theorist with a primary research interest in the constitution of the modern state, and specifically in revolutions, uprisings, and how states engender obedience in their subjects through institutional, structural, and normative means. My work has been covered in (Canadian) media including the CBC. I am also very interested in projects about translating academic knowledge and research to a wider public audience.
