PhD Candidate, Policy Studies, Toronto Metropolitan University

Seyda is completing a Ph.D. in Policy Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University. Her dissertation draws on Economics and Social Policy disciplines to examine the factors and dimensions of precarious employment in the Canadian labour market. Seyda worked as a researcher at CERC Migration and Integration at Toronto Metropolitan University on projects examining the public attitudes towards immigration. In addition, Seyda was a researcher in the SSHRC-funded projects “Environmental Regulation, Innovation, and the Migration of Skilled Workers” and “Policy Engagement at Multiple Levels of Governance: A Case Study of the Living Wage and Minimum Wage Policy” at Toronto Metropolitan University.
